Peru's blueberry exports in 2024 overview Peru's blueberry industry in 2024/2025 is developing in line with predictions and has exceeded previous records. As of week 43, the industry has shipped 147,459 tons of blueberries, an increase of 38% compared to the 2023/2024 production and 5% higher than the forecast in October last year.

Among them, 134,381 tons are conventional blueberries, 42% higher than the previous season and 7% higher than expected. The shipment volume of organic blueberries is 13,078 tons, an increase of 12% compared to the previous year but 12% lower than expected. Specifically, the export volume in week 43 was 12,622 tons, 17% higher than in the same period of 2023/2024 but 27% lower than the latest forecast. Camposol is at the top of the shipment list with an export volume of 18,217 tons, followed by Agrovisión Perú SAC, Complejo Agroindustrial, Hortifrut Perú SAC and Agroberries Perú. Together, they account for 49% of the total shipment volume.

The notable feature of the 2023/2024 production season was sluggishness due to the adverse effects of the El Niño phenomenon, which affected production and slowed down the production season, making it the first year of a decline in the global supply of fresh blueberries. During this period, 224,888 tons of conventional blueberries and 22,874 tons of organic blueberries were exported, a decrease compared to the previous season. However, this season's data indicates that not only has the growth rate recovered, but the introduction of new varieties may bring higher-quality fruits and increase the economic benefits of Peruvian producers and exporters.
